After the success of last year's Volunteer Conference, we’re excited to announce this year's event, happening on Wednesday 7 June 2017 in Newcastle.
The event is open to all active volunteers with the Charity but places are limited so, if you want to attend on the day, just complete the form and let us know.
Listening to your feedback from the event and elsewhere, we've made some great changes to the volunteer programme at the Charity. Most notably; introducing the new and all encompassing volunteer role, with which we're seeing an increase in applications from more people wanting to get involved every week.
With your help volunteering continues to go from strength to strength. As well as our numbers growing, we're attending more events than ever before and simple tasks like forwarding emails have gone from reaching 16 people to over 13,000 every three weeks – all being done by you!
We want to continue to build on this. You told us what you wanted to do and now it’s time to discover how we can do this...
What will we be covering?
The day will be led by interactive sessions, discussions and team work including:
- The next steps for volunteering at the Charity
- What have we done so far?
- What can we do… and what will we do?
- Strengthening, increasing and building our lifelong community
- Networking, sharing ideas and a Q & A panel
It will be a fantastic chance to meet with other volunteers. It will also form part of your on-going training and development as a volunteer and can form part of your learning & development as part of your career, so it’d be great to see as many of you there as possible.
