Launching Our New Carer's Test

A mother caring for her son

15 January 2018

With 1 in 8 people of working age in the UK caring for someone, it’s highly likely someone you know – either at work or at home – is a carer. You may even be a carer yourself, yet have never considered yourself to be one.
You may not be a registered carer, but if you're providing unpaid support you could still qualify for support from the Charity, including our Carer's Passport, designed to make communication of your caring responsibilites with your employer much clearer.
Actually, identifying as a carer is the first step to receiving the support needed to balance both caring and career responsibilties
To help with this, as part of our 'Carers Need Care Too' campaign, we're very pleased to be able to launch our brand new Carer's Test.
Most of us may not feel confident that we know where to go for advice about caring, but our Carer's Test is designed to guide you through this, identifying areas where you may need support and detailing how we can help.
If you think you might be a carer but you’re not sure, then do check it out. Or if you think you might know someone who is a carer, and you’d like to help them, why not share the test?
You never know… it might make all the difference.
