About the app

We’re working with Law Express who provide support on legal issues. You’ll get instant access to information and advice to help you protect your interests and those of your loved ones.

The app shares easy to digest and understandable guidance on a wide range of common legal topics. You can also get up to three advisory telephone calls with a voucher.

Please note that Law Express cannot give advice on immigration or Civil Service employment issues.

How to get the app

Go to the Charity for Civil Servants portal:

  1. Click the ‘log-in to portal’ button below.
  2. Sign in to the portal. Or register for an account if you haven’t got one already.

Once you are in, you’ll need to register for the app:

  1. Go to Apply for Help. Then, Services.
  2. Select Law Express app from the options and click ‘Start Application’.

Once you have submitted the short application, you’ll get a message in your portal account telling you how to download and activate the app. This will contain a unique code which gives you access to three calls to discuss a specific legal issue. These calls can be up to 25 minutes each.

If you need legal advice on a different subject you will need to make a new application. You can access help for up to a maximum of three legal issues but you will need to make a new application for each issue.

The app can be downloaded from Apple Store or Google Play.
